Can't believe I did a 9-miler last saturday. The group ran on Sawyer Camp trail. The trail is very beautiful. I also saw a deer on the way :-)
Thankfully it was all shaded despite the hot sun. The last couple miles were the toughest and it got sunnier then. I was feeling very hungry and thirsty. Would be a good idea to carry a fuel belt.
The feeling after completing a long run is just too good. Thankfully I finished well with no injuries. Gulped some food and water after getting back, stretched a little. Man, but this place in San Mateo is just too good. One of my friends was saying that the area San Mateo itself is very pretty. Should make it a point to revisit this place in the future.
Thanks to the Asha team who organizes all our runs so well and everything goes on so smoothly that no one ever realizes that there were so many things to take care of for a group as big as a couple hundred runners. All their effort is really worth appreciating!
