10 miler on Alameda Creek Trail

Hush!! what a feeling after successfully completing a 2-digit mileage! :-) The important part being I finished strong and with a smile. My longest run so far..

Every additional mile feels like a big accomplishment. Especially it's a good start for the weekend regardless of whether I am able to get anything else done later ;-) Now a half-marathon seems doable.

We ran on the Alameda Creek Trail in Fremont. Another pretty trail.. wasn't shaded all through but there were patches of shade in between. It was overcast a little more than half way, also we started pretty early at 7am today. Got a little bit of training in the sun as well. So over all a good training run.

Looking back, puts me in an awe.. wondering how I ran so many miles at a stretch!?

My achilles tendon gave me a little trouble during the last few miles. Coach Rajeev Char advised to get a massage from SMI.

Stay tuned for the San Francisco Marathon updates...
